Would like some opinions. I have a BX1800 tractor that I have had for a few years. For the most part I have done all of the basic maintenance, ie: oil changes, etc, since I purchased the tractor. In looking at the manual last night, I noticed that the 200 hour maintenance schedule is important and a number of items should be checked at this time. Question... Would it make since to bring the tractor back to the dealer to have them checked it over or should I not worry about it. I am sure that they will charge approx; $300 to $400 once I bring it in for service. I hate to spend the money but I do not want to miss doing something that should have been done at this time. Any thoughts would be most appriciated.

If you've done all the maintenance on your BX so far what items in the recommended 200 hr service have you skeptical of doing it yourself?

Nothing in particular... just thinking it might make sense to have a professional mechanic look it over to make sure nothing needs to be repaired/replaced. I guess I am looking for "piece of mind". Since I have only really had to replace the oil, I am not sure if any other major things should be done at this time.

Doesn't your owners manual have the recommended service requirements for 200 hrs? I'm not familiar with the BX series but the manual for my L3130 recommends changing oil, oil filter, hydraulic fluid, hydraulic filter, and front axle grease at 50 hrs.

I suppose peace of mind will cost you $300-$400. :-)
